If the intention was an "spanish" name "despiedad" didn't exist in that idiom. Maybe they want to put "despiadado" (ruthless – merciless)
Still an interesting miniature.

Am I the only one thinking "Alatriste" while looking at this?

Emilio, maybe they want to wrote "Vigo" as Mortenssen the argentine actor who, by the way, play excelente the role of Capitán Alatriste.

Best Miniature I had seen Captain Dewell!. (smile).

Vigo is a city in northwest Spain. The actor is Viggo.
You are argentinian, aren´t you? In Spain, "virgo" means, not only the zodiacal sign, but "virgin", "virginity" and "hymen". You see, not a good election for a man´s name.

Agree with you Emilio.
My mistake with "vigo" vs "viggo".
Really not a good choise, but… maybe he WAS a virgin! (smile).
