Okay here is another weird question,

I have three armies I bought prebased. They are mounted two to a 1" by 1/2 inch base. They are on thin metal bases. I am thinking they might work better 4 to a 1" by 1" base. This works out to two bases together front to back. Anyone have any suggestions on how this could best be done? Maybe glue the two bases on a 1 x 1 inch piece of card stock?

i base all my miniatures on metal and make a movement tray out of a sheet of thick card with a flexable magnetic strip stuck on it. i use a sharpee to cover up the white edge of the cardboard. works great. not permanant though, which could be a good thing.

Glue the two bases on 1" square metal base. That is how I get my 20mm square figs on 20mm square bases.

As the good saint says – magnets are your friends, if you prefer not to do something irrevocable.

Just buy some magnetic sheet (not the adhesive type), and cut to size needed.

But first: check to see that the bases are attracted to magnets! grin (not all metal bases are…)
