I have an "old school" 25mm Minifigs SYW Anglo/ Hannoverian force and want to add some newer units, namely Royal Horse Guards and some Legion Brittanique. I'd like to use some more modern figures than the old Minifigs for some variety but need to be comparable in size. Are there any ranges people could recommend that are close to the Minifigs size?

Cheers

Dragonfan79,

Most of the newer ranges are noticeably taller and different in style than the "old school" Minifigs. If all you want to do is add a few units, I would stick with them. They are available from Caliver Books in the UK. I live in the US and have not had any problems with orders--they can however take a few weeks.

Good Luck

Maybe the Tradition 25mm range of figures are small enough to work with Minifigs, but I would stick with the Minifigs as they have their own distinct style.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Looks like it will need to be Minifigs

And while not perfect matches, Dixon and Old Glory's F&I Range (but NOT Old Glory's Jacobite and SYW ranges) are at least 25mm similar to Minifigs and not big 28s.

Thanks Andy that is very helpful. I'll have a look at Dixon as well.

RAFM Flint and Feather range is not a bad match.
