Normally, I don't bother complaining, but perhaps it's the mood I'm in. I have no tolerance for the 'views' expressed in this thread.

LOL – having read the thread – it doesn't surprise me. I expect another round of Dawghousing to stem from this one.

kreoseus214 Feb 2013 2:07 p.m. PST

The fecal matter has impacted the rotating blades on that thread.

I'm choking from laughing so hard. And the DH has been empty for awhile so conditions may not be good.

The Gray Ghost14 Feb 2013 2:44 p.m. PST

I'm so glad I stayed out of that one.

nazrat14 Feb 2013 4:43 p.m. PST

Advocating any sort of piracy here on TMP is one of the cardinal no-nos here on TMP. As are many of the political statements on that train wreck of a thread.

And no, the Complaint button doesn't work. It hasn't for a long, long while.

I wish Dear Editor had not deleted the posts, but merely DHed the foul miscreants. It is good to know who the advocates of theft are.

But, to address the OP, it seems that your complaint is not needed.
To answer your question… No. It doesn't. grin

rmcaras14 Feb 2013 7:24 p.m. PST

ditto John OFM, I tried to read the thread, but found it predominately a bunch of deleted posts. Reading between the deletes it appears some feel it is ok to pirate other's intellectual property and others, like Pictors [one of the few that has posts that are not redacted] are taking them to task.
Do I have that right? Hard to tell.

galvinm14 Feb 2013 8:42 p.m. PST

What happened? I noticed the thread when first posted, but figured it deserved no response. Stealing is stealing. If someone is ok with that, you cannot change their mind. They are entitiled. Now the thread is half deleted.

Lee Brilleaux Fezian14 Feb 2013 8:59 p.m. PST

I missed a great show here, it seems. Wow!

I wonder what everyone said. I shall agree strongly with alternate posts, and condemn the others vociferously.

Fuebalashi Dakasonomichi14 Feb 2013 9:25 p.m. PST

In that thread I was railing against thieves and liars on ebay who were passing off stolen goods. Some on the thread said theft was justifiable.

Wolfprophet14 Feb 2013 9:44 p.m. PST

I love how everyone completely understood my points on *why* people pirate electronic media in the first place and the proof that it's possible to combat internet piracy without internet censoring legislation by offering superior product quality, improved customer service quality and hasslefree methods of legally obtaining the media through existing services like iTunes, Netflix and Steam or creating more new services that follow a similar standard!

That might have been really bad if anyone had mistaken my correct and time proven argument for being pro-piracy instead! grin

Oh wait! That didn't happen and everyone misread my argument and now it's been deleted? Brilliant! And I garnered another FIVE stifles? Holy flying spaghetti monster, Batman! Here I thought TMP ran out of thin-skins for me to offend!

nazrat14 Feb 2013 9:52 p.m. PST

"In that thread I was railing against thieves and liars on ebay who were passing off stolen goods. Some on the thread said theft was justifiable."

Heh, actually it was YOU who said it was bad to pirate from small people like Timecast, but you had no problem with stealing from big companies. The doodie storm arose from that. Funny how reality can change once posts are deleted!

Fuebalashi Dakasonomichi14 Feb 2013 9:57 p.m. PST

I said no such thing. I believe in Sharia law.

SECURITY MINISTER CRITTER14 Feb 2013 10:33 p.m. PST

I'm so glad I missed that one too! There are only 29 posts left.

Thomas Nissvik15 Feb 2013 3:59 a.m. PST

I assume that it was yet another one of those "You cannot copy my work because I sculpted it" and not one of those so very few "you cannot copy my work because I just came up with it, drew it and got it turned into a TV series and calling it not-whatever is no excuse"

It's obvious that this took time to create and copying it is bad:

picture

Creating this, however, did not take any time and effort and it is free to copy the whole concept, as long as you sculpt it yourself:

Right?

Yet this:

'Nothing more from me on this thread.
So a thief and a liar'

Is still there – though technically calling someone a thief and a liar don't seem to be banned according to the FAQ section.

Also, no-one in the DH over these yet?

Strange.

manchesterreg15 Feb 2013 5:23 a.m. PST

Yes i called dafydd that, as he was advocating theft and he also lies, funny he now is lying again, anyone who advocates theft as he did/does deserves what i called him.

So if you want to complain about me, then do so, but i stand by my statement

Fuebalashi Dakasonomichi15 Feb 2013 7:15 a.m. PST

You need to grow up, Mr Anonymous.

elsyrsyn15 Feb 2013 7:50 a.m. PST

The deletion of posts on that thread does seem absurdly random, doesn't it? I agree with John – if the posts are offensive enough to warrant it (in the Editor's judgment, and his alone) then DH the miscreants. Don't rewrite history and unsay what has been said.

"You need to grow up, Mr Anonymous."

This coming from the guy who advocates theft.

Wait, wait wait,

pulling up a chair, sitting down, opening a beer…

okay, you can continue.

Fuebalashi Dakasonomichi15 Feb 2013 11:48 a.m. PST

Caesar, I have already stated I believe in Sharia Law on all thieves. I was converted by the sage opinions of fellow believers like yourself, however I believe you are too soft. Anyone who watches a YouTube clip of a film, song or documentary not uploaded by the copyright holder's corporation should have acid thrown in their eyes. This is because the browser's cache has illegally copied the file.

Ditto anyone with a VHS tape full of History.Channel favourites. Chop their hands off.

Pictors Studio15 Feb 2013 12:54 p.m. PST

Now manchesterreg, I think that we can discount the current claims of liar and thief. He was both, no denying that, but he has clearly reformed by what he is currently saying. We have no reason to disbelieve him really. At least no solid proof. So we can at worst say of him now that he *was* a liar and a thief.

He is advocating a different course of action now.
If in his 14 years on this earth so far he had not learned that stealing is wrong, then it is not unreasonable to assume that his intellect is not yet so piercing as to understand more subtle concepts like fair use.

As far as his inconsistency is concerned, both on the issues of theft and his at first saying he was not going to post on that other thread and then posting on it many times afterwards, puberty does strange things to one's mind. So maybe it is time to lay off the kid.

GarrisonMiniatures15 Feb 2013 2:05 p.m. PST

'So if you want to complain about me, then do so, but i stand by my statement'

Nope, just expressing surprise that it is still there, especially as the posts leading to the comment have been deleted.

Fuebalashi Dakasonomichi15 Feb 2013 3:27 p.m. PST

Pictors Studio you have some disturbing views on children, you should seek help.

But those pictures of Kate Upton were awesome!

Grand Duke Natokina03 Mar 2013 6:45 p.m. PST

I read the thread and it seemed to me to sort of lose a few posts just before JWomack made his first post. After that it nosedived fast.
