I found some reference pictures from the 2nd Panzer Division, 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion that show a two color camo scheme of Dunkelgelb with sparse green dots. Throughout the war, several patterns had names: splinter; oak leaf, ambush, etc. Does anyone know if this was a designated camo pattern?

I'm painting a Bolt Action Puma with the two color pattern – WIP pictures can be found on my blog: link

Thanks,

Doubt it. Depending on the time period, camo schemes were applied by either the crew or the maintenance section, and the pattern was dependent on instructions from the unit commander, and the individual talent of the crew. That doesn't mean modelers don't have their own terminology though!

Damon.
