Yes, It's true.

""The new Hello Kitty line will cater to long-time collectors, with action figures and statues, high-end lamps, calendars, tea sets, vintage carrying cases, and more, as well as various tabletop games, plus a HeroClix miniature gaming collection from NECA's games subsidiary WizKids. The highly anticipated Hello Kitty products will begin launching in North America this summer.""

In the grim cuteness of the far-future there is only kawaii.

I saw this the other day. Huge world market for products based on Sanrio characters. I do not think TMP is the market demographic (then again, TMP's demographic is so niche that I doubt it even registers as a demographic!).

Our family loves Sanrio, except the cost. Don't ask how much money I dumped in the local Sanrio Store years ago. I would love to have some Bad Bats Maru and Keropi clix/figures.

This would have been better on 1 April.

I envision head-swap armies in every possible 28-32mm gaming universe…

A classmate's parents decided to have separate boy's and girl's goodie bags for his 3rd birthday. Naturally, that meant that my daughter couldn't have cars, but did get a Hello Kitty necklace/fake makeup compact/candy holder.

Thanks. Just thanks. All I ever wanted was to encourage my preschool-age daughter in thinking that all she should be concerned with is makeup and Hello Kitty.

Expat dude draws a picture that a third grader with crayons can reproduce. It becomes a mult-million dollar empire. What's not to like.

BTW, they have HK easter baskets @ WalMart. It will make a nice, fuzzy objective for our Easter game…
