You don't have to be a fantastic painter to make Gendarmes look good on the table. I didn't try to be too clever with these (no vines, flowers, etc.) and only used geometric patterns. Consequently, a batch of 24 were not too difficult to bang out relatively quickly. Link to pics of them here:

Humbrol 154 with 73 dark shade. Then 154 1st highlight, then 154 with 34 2nd highlight. Probabaly.
