I' m looking for simple rules for the Three Muskeeters. I' m preparing a small scenario for a wargaming day so I need a 1 or 2 pages rules.

Suggestions? grin

I ran a participation game at a convention using the rules on my website – they require a deck of cards for the fencing part (a la En Garde!).

There's also Ganesha Game's Flashing Steel rules, specifically for pirates & musketeer swashbuckling.

I've successfully used 7TV for this.

What is 7TV?

The Gloire/Under the BlackFlag rules have a bit of an RPG feel but are very suitable to conventions. Even kids pick them up right away.

I sell both at ScaleCreep.com

I can second the using the En Garde game. I've run several games at conventions here in Canada using it. I'll have to check out how the Black Hat mods differ from mine. :-)

edit: Just checked and nope, those seem somewhat different. They must be based on the En Garde RPG? I use the En Garde card game from Slugfest Games.

Their Kung Fu Fighting game works as well – even combined the two games for one scenario. :-)

You hardly can get more simple, yet this has A LOT of gaming possibilities.

Hope that helps.

Un pour Tous! a modification to LotOW. If you know LotOW, the Quick Reference Sheet would be fine.

Another vote for Eureka's All For One rules. A very original set of rules. They have made for some of the funnest and wackiest games I've ever had.

I found it got tiresome running up the stairs and along the bannister everytime you wanted to make an attack. After a while the swashbuckling actions kept getting repeated until it wasn't as fun anymore. But maybe we were tired and our imaginations lacking.

I was about to suggest LOTR SBG before SGtPerry suggested Un pour Tous!

I believe Margard is talking about the Crooked Dice ruleset

Yup, the Crooked Dice game "7TV". Excellent for all sorts of genres. If you could imagine a 60s or 70s TV series on your subject of choice then 7TV will work really well!

In this context – "The Flashing Blade" anyone?
