Ha, sorry need more explanation there Khurasan.
First let me say i was not slighting you in the least. Was not the intention of the comment. It just happens every time a company says that they will be shut down for a short period of time or had to take care of this or that and not able to fill orders in the absence that the complaints start rolling in. You will hear from yahoo #1 "I placed an order 3 days ago and i haven't heard a thing from Khurasan. This is outrageous and he should make it up to me." This will happen because said Yahoo was too busy and didn't bother to read the comments or notice that the company in question, who left notice, was out of communication or on vacay or whatnot. So that is what i meant. Just waiting for the new topics to pop on the main board on lousy service.

As for ODB, yeah he knows me. Some might say too well in a sense. ODB himself would be the one saying that though so take it with a pinch of salt. :-)

Yes, Grimm, I do indeed know you, well enough to confirm that you've been too long flying through hard vacuum once too often without yer helmet on…evil grin

Ive just got my lats minute before disappearance order (sent 8 Feb)

And Doe is beautiful !!
Its absolutely best 15 mm vehicle model Ive seen !

And I am enamored with Foreign legion.
Those guys ooze character, My wife wanted to play with some :)

Khurasan: any chance for a kickstarter or something similar to make more outlandish of them into mini ranges with 5-10 poses ?
I mean caterpillar guys, tentacle head guy, big strange monster guys.. They are just to cool to be in one piece !!

khurasanminiatures21 Feb 2013 5:54 p.m. PST

I know kickstarter is all the rage these days, but I'm not keen to take people's money until I have product made and ready to ship. Too many opportunities for disappointment. For instance, what if the end result is not what the investor had in mind? I don't like the idea of that, I like people seeing the product and then deciding whether they want to buy it. I guess I'm just old-fashioned.

AWuuuu22 Feb 2013 3:36 a.m. PST

Yeah i understand why, but if its only sensible option for some fringe ranges not doable in other way due to high cost and low potential sales it could be only solution.

I don't like ZAS infantry that seems to be all the rage but kickstarter rocked sky high. Project like that for aliens from foreign legion could give them life, and probably only chance for seeing more of them.

Howling Hank22 Feb 2013 3:59 a.m. PST

We eagerly await your return Khurasan as well as our wallets! :)

khurasanminiatures23 Feb 2013 9:16 a.m. PST

I'm back! I have to regroup and I really want to sort the outstanding orders before I turn the shop back on though, particularly because I have a ton of new stuff to release, and I want to release it with a clean slate, so it might be a few more days to a week before the shop is back.

Going forward I might just do this on an occasional basis -- shut the site for a week or so maybe once every two months to catch up on orders. I have a lot of product but only so much time to pack orders so I fall behind sometimes, not a position I like to be in. We'll see.

Hayden, don't know what you mean by Cheyenne but the exterminators company assets are sent to the painter, Spacejacker, and will up for sale as soon as they are finished (don't know if he's received them yet).

The stalker is also with dwartist and he will be finishing them, but it's important to remember he's got lots of kits to finish, and other demands on his time as well, so it might be a bit before it's available.

Hayden23 Feb 2013 12:06 p.m. PST

khurasanminiatures: just a secret wish of non-aliens dropship……

Xintao23 Feb 2013 12:31 p.m. PST

non-aliens dropship

Not-aliens maybe? Cause who wouldn't want that?

Hayden23 Feb 2013 12:47 p.m. PST

yes typo….:)

khurasanminiatures23 Feb 2013 12:56 p.m. PST

I guess the problem with that is it would cost a lot to have it designed and printed, and between the mould and resin costs it would end up with a pretty high sticker price. I would then bring it to market but lots of people would just assume use a toy that costs $19. USD So I'm not sure it's really viable.

Actually that's one thing kickstarter might be useful for, to determine market and lock in some sales. But even then kickstarter doesn't really seem to be for people who want to make a big investment for a high sticker item, it seems to generate most of its investments at around $30 USD-$50 and this craft would probably cost more than that.

Valmy9223 Feb 2013 3:53 p.m. PST

Hopefully the site will be back soon? I was really hoping to look at the painted Felids to help me clarify what I'm seeing in the sculpts so I can separate colors at the right point.
Thanks,
Phil

khurasanminiatures23 Feb 2013 5:22 p.m. PST

Phil, you can search for Khurasan Felids on google images and lots of images will pop up.

It's early March, any word on when Khurasan is back up?

Itching to get my hands on some goodies!

khurasanminiatures06 Mar 2013 9:59 p.m. PST

Monday. Hope to have the napoleonic French ligne and the Hauk up on the site when I return.

Jojojimmyjohn06 Mar 2013 10:10 p.m. PST

Oh no you don't. I haven't painted 15mm Nap. in almost 25 years. I will not start a new pile, I will not start a new pile, I will not start a new pile…Oh I give up. Off to pull the little bastards from storage to meet their new bros..

khurasanminiatures06 Mar 2013 11:13 p.m. PST

grin In the spectrum of the most current ranges, they are closer to Xan and Warmodelling, or some of the larger ABs. Mike Broadbent made them -- they are lovely.

By the way, some of you may be interested in our announcement of a 20mm Near Future range:

Hi,

Would it be possible in future to just switch off the cart, so that we can still peruse the ranges, just not buy?

I believe that is what Peter Pig does.

Cheers!

Tim

Royston Papworth09 Mar 2013 10:13 a.m. PST

Oops!

Also meant to ask, when will the site be back?

Hello.

Just my little question?

When will you un leash the Chewk Cavalry?????

Since I sow the picture in your blog I´m needing these riders form my chewk horde.

Dunadan10 Mar 2013 11:14 a.m. PST

Upside to springing ahead for daylight savings time: one hour closer to Monday!
*sets up tent outside of Khurasan's store*

Catoblepas10 Mar 2013 12:30 p.m. PST

I can't wait until Monday. It would be neat the Flea-riders Naxokdt mentioned will be coming out on Monday, and I'm also looking forward to the Nuns and weasels as well. Do we have any idea what's coming out next aside from the hawk-men and the french?

moocifer11 Mar 2013 6:07 a.m. PST

Hooray Khurasan is back !!

No work for me for the rest of the day .. :)

Wartopia11 Mar 2013 7:09 a.m. PST

Yay!!!

Must work today to pay for Khurasan stuff.

:-)

Delbruck11 Mar 2013 9:24 a.m. PST

Khurasan has added a Manchu (Q'ing) Dynasty Chinese range. The range is small, but includes infantry, cavalry, and some artillery. Probably complete enough to start a nice army.

Oh Bugger12 Mar 2013 4:56 a.m. PST

Gotta say those Manchu look very good. Jingals for me and some Chinese Green Banner foot.

I wonder if there is any chance of a couple of packs of Tai Ping and one of Manchu matchlock men – its C19th I'm interested in.

khurasanminiatures12 Mar 2013 5:34 a.m. PST

B*gger, will certainly expand the range if it sells, as I always do. First thing I think I'd make would be arquebusiers and artillery.

Oh Bugger12 Mar 2013 6:25 a.m. PST

I'd better order some then.

BlackWidowPilot Fezian12 Mar 2013 8:25 a.m. PST

Q'ing Dynasty Chinese. You just had to go and do Q'ing Dynasty Chinese…

How's the Henry VIII stuff coming along?
Sounded very promising last time you mentioned them.

Dunadan12 Mar 2013 11:49 a.m. PST

Are there any new scifi or fantasy sets (like the Puritan armor) due to be released soon now that the store is back up? I'm delaying making my purchases right now so that I don't pay twice for shipping if something cool comes out right after I place my order.

Frederic V23 Mar 2013 5:32 a.m. PST

I can't wait for the Assyrian range ;)

BlackWidowPilot Fezian23 Mar 2013 9:29 a.m. PST
