well, for a few weeks anyway!
As we are a one-robot show, and are traveling on business the week of February 18, we have just shut the shop to new orders. We've got a backlog of about 47 orders as of this writing and would love to have it cleared out and shipped by the time the trip starts so have shut the shop now to ketchup. We'll be back either late February or early March, and will have lots of new stuff for both historical and adventure gamers then. |

Well Poo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have a good holiday! |
| khurasanminiatures | 10 Feb 2013 11:16 a.m. PST |
It's not a holiday, actually, but thank you! |
MrHarold | 10 Feb 2013 11:23 a.m. PST |
Good luck and looking forward to seeing what new stuff you come out with! |
| Stealth1000 | 10 Feb 2013 1:12 p.m. PST |
Well at least you will not be putting out all that tempting stuff for a bit. :-) Have a good trip. |
| tberry7403 | 10 Feb 2013 3:49 p.m. PST |
Don't scare me like that! That will teach me to put off making purchases. |
BlackWidowPilot | 10 Feb 2013 6:24 p.m. PST |
You'd BETTER come back, mister! My Karks still need fire support assets, my JTFB need their Makos, and I've still got a ravening horde of space-faring mujhadeen to build for the Republic of New Wadiya, so drive safe, fly smart, play nice, and get the Hell back soon! Sooo glad I got my Abrams when I did then! Love them! |
| Lion in the Stars | 10 Feb 2013 9:43 p.m. PST |
Oh, good, maybe my wallet will have time to recover before the next multi-hundred dollar assault. (Another Tribal DPLS, at least 2 Doe dropships, and maybe an Abrams platoon. Oh, and all the character types from the various 15mm lines.) |
| Grimmnar | 10 Feb 2013 10:44 p.m. PST |
Is this where the posts will start about orders not being filled by Khurasan or no one is responding to emails? I wonder how long till we see the first post. Grimm |

So, is the robot up there a preview of things to come? It'd look nice it 15mm ;) |
| Frederic V | 11 Feb 2013 7:24 a.m. PST |
Come back soon, I need some Huns cavalry to complete my Tang army under construction.
|
| Eli Arndt | 11 Feb 2013 7:28 a.m. PST |
I think Grimm was poking at the folks who don't read your timely announcements and fail to realize the courtesy you do your customer base by letting people know what is going on with you and the company. There are always people who miss these announcements or fail to read them in their entirety and then come on to TMP or other forums and gripe about your "lack of service". Don't sweat it man. You're good. -Eli |
| khurasanminiatures | 11 Feb 2013 8:34 a.m. PST |
Well, I guess we can both let him speak for himself, but not filling orders and not responding to emails is not what's going to be happening here. I am working hard to clear out my backlog, and I'll be responding to emails as they come in. II have just turned off the webstore for a few weeks. Frederic, your Tang look great! |
| Eli Arndt | 11 Feb 2013 9:00 a.m. PST |
You are aces Jon. Worry not. |
| AWuuuu | 11 Feb 2013 11:02 a.m. PST |

BlackWidowPilot | 11 Feb 2013 1:41 p.m. PST |
Jon, I've dealt with Grimm for years; he's only teasing. Your reputation for outstanding customer service is 110% clear obvious to a dead blind man in a blacked-out room. Leland R. Erickson Metal Express metal-express.net |
| Arrigo | 11 Feb 2013 2:31 p.m. PST |
considering it will be just a couple of weeks, and in the meantime I am supposed to get paid for an article, and you get the Vlad ready
this is all good! Arrigo |
Puster | 11 Feb 2013 3:32 p.m. PST |
Well, an abundance of orders to fullfill is at least one of the better reasons to go offline for some day. Good luck! |

Well done on being so proactive. There are many retailers (not limited to our hobby) that should be taking notes. And I'm not just saying that because I'm one of the 28. |

17 as of yesterday. |

| Admiral Yi Sun Sin is my Homie | 15 Feb 2013 9:18 a.m. PST |
This title scared me when I first saw it. I really, really hope I'm one of the 17! Edit: And that robot in 15mm would be cool. A pose carrying the boxes in particular would be great to have around the firebase I'm building. Maybe to have walking down the spaceship hallways getting in the way for other scenarios. |
| khurasanminiatures | 15 Feb 2013 9:24 a.m. PST |
Hmm, USMEADS, let's see
. 1) The Thrainites (space dwarves basically) 2) The Mako Gun System, including a gun carriage with a double barreled autocannon and a heavy mortar. Either of these weapons can be mounted on the fully tracked gun carriage or on a cruciform base. You'll be able to buy the two gun systems separately, or with the Mako tractor. Then you can buy cruciform bases to go with them. The Mako is basically like a sci fi version of the RSO 40 -- it's armoured to protect the driver from small arms fire but it's really just a way to give mobility to the autocannon or the heavy mortar. The Mako is produced by a breakaway Karkarine star system that is not governed by the Pelagic Dominate, and they are the analogy of Bofors, who made gun systems used by many countries in WWII. The autocannon has a seat for the gunner, and there's also a spotter figure made, and crew have been made for: The Karkarines (of course) The Felids The Thrainites The Control Battalions The Sepulvedan Resistance (they capture these from the Control Battalions) The JTFB (Jasmine Throne Foreign Battalions) The Jasmine Throne satrapal levies The major players in my background don't use the Mako system, but some of their subsidiaries (like the Felids in the Carnivoran Hegemony and the Karks when serving as mercenaries) do. 3) The Hauk will be released as well, with their basic troop set, their grav APC the Aerie, and their gravcannon the Hornbill. 4) The Meso-Nai AFV, APC and an Orbital Descent Barge for those vehicles -- these salamandroids are the sworn enemies of the Hauk. 5) The reboot of the Carnivoran Hegemony -- long in the works, but finally I can get them out to the gamers. 6) The Cult of Andromeda, which includes the psy-witch andromeda herself, as well as her elite of hooded alien cultists, and her swarms of Brunts, big herd warriors who are not bright per se but have a low cunning. 7) Some silly stuff for Planet 15, most notable the Slimies from Venus, which line will first be a Slimies Away Team and also a Slimy power armour (which is basically a little tracked tank of an armour suit with a power claw!). And that's just for starters. Of course I'll have to space these releases out a bit, but they are essentially all ready to go now, except for one or two bits that need finishing up. A bit further down the road will be more stuff for the Earthdoom range (next will be the Intruder Fighting Orb, which it a snag in production but should be ready soon) and the mighty Soriog Empire, which will be a major release with three different alien races, and lots of vehicles and other hardware as well. Did I fail to mention historical ranges too? Heh. More Thirty Years War Central European types (closed helm cuirassiers to be exact), as well as an entire, complete range of Early Renaissance Irish for Tyrone's Rebellion, Neo-Assyrian Later Sargonids, 17th Century Circassian and other Caucasus Peoples, and Qing Chinese (the Manchus, that is) focusing for starters on the early period, in the 17th century, when the Manchus first took over China and warred with the Asiatic nomads, Russians, etc., although the models would probably be suitable right up to the very late 19th Century. The sixteenth century was a time of great vibrancy and power for the Manchus, however, very unlike the decrepit state that was pushed around by the europeans in ensuing centuries. My understanding is that the Qing Chinese army is surprisingly powerful when fighting Pike and Shot armies of the same period and it has won at least one major FoGR tournament! Oh, and did I mention 28mm Sci Fi? So many models, so little time

| Jojojimmyjohn | 15 Feb 2013 9:38 a.m. PST |
No Great Enemy releases? :-( |
| khurasanminiatures | 15 Feb 2013 9:46 a.m. PST |
LOL! Those too, and also the Zone of Alienation mini-range, Ukranians versus mutants in the Chernobyl forbidden zone. The Wormwood mutants rule the Red Forest
. Also a major expansion of my new US modern range with more vehicles, modern Russian vehicles, and some unusual Panzer 46 stuff
. I have a tidal wave of new releases, and I really have to space it out
. |
| Jojojimmyjohn | 15 Feb 2013 9:56 a.m. PST |
Cool. Zone of Alienation sounds like an old Pixies song
:-) |
| khurasanminiatures | 15 Feb 2013 10:23 a.m. PST |
link I think Zone of Alienation would make for a VERY interesting take on Ambush Alley, with the Ukranian security special unit fighting the mutants coming out of the woodwork in the ruined streets of Pripyat

Stalker figs? We get Stalker figs in 15mm? Words cannot express the joy that I feel right now. |
| khurasanminiatures | 15 Feb 2013 10:31 a.m. PST |
Not sure what stalker is? So I don't know if they are. Basically Russians/Ukranians in NBC suits versus mutants with AKs. |
MrHarold | 15 Feb 2013 10:37 a.m. PST |
That all sounds really awesome
|
| USMEADS | 15 Feb 2013 10:42 a.m. PST |

| Umpapa | 15 Feb 2013 10:56 a.m. PST |
Felids artillery crews! Wow! |
| OctaChaz | 15 Feb 2013 11:48 a.m. PST |
@khurasanminiatures Stalker is a video game that depicts the scenario you described pretty much. Ukranian military trying to keep mutants in the exclusion zone, whilst ordinary Ukranians and Russians sneak into the zone to take and sell valuable radioactive artifacts that hold unique, physics-bending properties. Those are the guys known as Stalkers. If you haven't looked at it already, I'm sure it would make some great inspiration :) |
| khurasanminiatures | 15 Feb 2013 12:10 p.m. PST |
Just checked some of those mutants out and they are interesting! (Is one of them a bison? lol) But I went in a different direction with mine. Previews in a few weeks. |
| OctaChaz | 15 Feb 2013 12:28 p.m. PST |
Yep, most of them represent the mutated wildlife of Chernobyl. The Snorks and Bloodsuckers are human-mutants though. It sounds as though your mutants are closer to human than animal, which is a cool direction to take, especially if they start arming themselves with AK47s and the like. |
BlackWidowPilot | 15 Feb 2013 1:00 p.m. PST |
IIRC Jon's mutants include AK-47-totting mutant earthworms (which I plan to use to add some reinforcements to my JTFB project
). Recall also that he's got some sci-fi Space Weasels in the offing (which will also find their way into the ranks of my JTFB 13th Demibrigade project
). Yeeesh! Where the Hell was Khuransan Jon back in the day when I played Gamma World?!! Leland R. Erickson Metal Express metal-express.net

And of course, i'm still being patient for the Federal Navy's SPAR teams and the TacMech Oh man, I really need that TacMech
 |
| McWong73 | 15 Feb 2013 3:23 p.m. PST |
Someone knock him off the internet so he can finish his work trip and get back to releasing these. |
| Howling Hank | 15 Feb 2013 3:55 p.m. PST |
"Also a major expansion of my new US modern range with more vehicles, modern Russian vehicles, and some unusual Panzer 46 stuff
." Looking forward to those for sure-hopefully in 15mm! |
| khurasanminiatures | 15 Feb 2013 4:06 p.m. PST |
Howling Hank, I may be able to get the first panzer 46 item off to the caster as soon as tomorrow, because I'm supposedly getting the print tomorrow and if I make a run to the PO I can get it there a week early. It might not be what many might expect, but I think it will bring a smile to the faces of many others. Cryptic enough for ya? Leland, yes the most sinister of the mutants are the wormwood mutants, who live in the Red Forest. There are also the children of Chernobyl and they will be released first. |
| Dunadan | 15 Feb 2013 6:16 p.m. PST |
I'm with you MrHarold. Ever since Dropship Horizon announced the SPAR team I've been poring through Khurasan's catalog to see if they'd been released and I'd just missed the news. Alas, still nothing (though I thought the tacmech had been released). |
