If you are looking for a new fighter scenario, for your modern jets, you could use the following info. Japan scrambled F-2 fighters against some Russian Su-27s recently, which flew over its northern islands. Apparently, Japan has been in a dispute with Russia over the islands, since WWII, when the latter seized several of them. link I'm not aware of anyone producing the F-2 in miniature, but it looks surprisingly like the F-16, so with a little camo and insignia in the right places, the "Lawn Dart" should be a decent stand-in for the Japanese jets:
link It didn't provide numbers for the Japanese in this article, but another mentioned 4 x F-2s being scrambled vs. the 2 x Su-27s, so makes a decent matchup.

IIRC the F-2 is just an F-16 scaled up. Perhaps go with a figure line you "know" is a little overscale compared to what you normally use, and get a good approximation. Damon. |
