I've just finished pulling together a new Manufacturers Directory, covering the Napoleonic period, and the completed page in all its glory is now up and running on Madaxeman.com and accessible via the following link: Madaxeman.com 15mm Napoleonic Manufacturers Directory Each manufacturers individual listing has details of the nationalities they make, taken from the list of nations explicitly mentioned on their websites – these include French, British, Prussian, Russian, Austrian, Spanish, Polish (including Grand Duchy of Warsaw), Bavarian, other minor German states (The Rhine Confederation, Wurttenburg, Hannovarian, Hessian, Saxon, etc) Italian/Neapolitan, Dutch/Belgian, Portuguese, Swedish, Danish, and Turks. Many also have generic equipment and dead and wounded ranges too which are mentioned. Some of the manufacturers will have separate ranges for the two main era of Napoleonic warfare – which I understand to be broadly speaking Bicorne and Shako – and also Winter and Summer campaign dress but I haven't (yet..) gone into that level of detail I'm afraid, so this listing just shows which nationalities each company has a named range for For each supplier there is also an indication of whether they are making "15mm" 15mm figures or "18mm" 15mm figures, how they package and sell the figures (singles, packs of 8 etc), details on how you can order from them and a link to their site. Those of you who've seen the Ancients and Renaissance Directories will already be familiar with the 5-point click-to-vote system by which you can rate any of the manufacturers – some of the manufacturers are the same, but there is an entirely new set of ratings on the Madaxeman.com 15mm Napoleonic Manufacturers Directory as there seems to be different norms and standards in the Napoleonic gaming community – some of the biggest and most highly regarded Napoleonics manufacturers don't have equivalent Ancients or Renaissance ranges to benchmark against, and there also appears to be more of a preference for 18mm-sized figures as well – so pretty much all of the Napoleonic listings are starting afresh with a totally unique, Napoleonic set of votes to be built up. If you visit the page please do click to vote vote on those you have figures for as this may helps other gamers decide what to buy. I'm not personally an expert on Napoleonic gaming or indeed the figures so I had some assistance from some of our club members who are – but if there are oddities in the way I have classified and categorized each manufacturers range, please let me know and I can correct them and update the Madaxeman.com 15mm Napoleonic Manufacturers Directory accordingly. I hope this is useful to someone out there

AB miniatures are also sold by Eureka Miniatures USA in the States. As does Australia the figures are sold as singles. Lasalle sets are also available. Eureka Miniatures also now has Brits and their allies for Waterloo. |

All good to know – thanks! The whole subject of "who are the US retailers" is a bit of a blind spot for me, so any pointers as to who carries which line in the US would be especially useful, as then I can add them into the listings wherever possible |

Very nice resource. Thanks for putting it together! You could add GMB as a supplier of 15mm Napoleonic flags. |

I might suggest "quick links" at the top where you see the list of manufacturers and they take you down to their paragraph. I'll link to the page from my side-by-side comparisons pages too. I (Scale Creep Miniatures) am a retailer for Warmodelling/Fantassin as well as Black Hat here in the US ScaleCreep.com Great resource. |

Fighting 15s also does its own range of flags for AB Figures |

OK – added some of this stuff, and added a link to Marks set of photos as well. Also I found Battle Line Miniatures after seeing Marks site – but the Falcon website seems to be down so they are still not on the list |

Madaxeman – some further corrections: The sculptor of AB is Tony Barton (not Tony Barr). The Polish manufacturer of Napoleonics that I stock is Oddzial Osmy – not various other spellings :-) As you say, Fighting 15s now owns this small 15mm range: it is no longer made in Poland. Ian |

Thanks a lot. That link helped me find possible sources for more true 15s to go with my Heritage, 2nd generation Minifigs and Naismith. Tom |

Hi Ian All sorted now – I was half-tempted to try and include a different (and incorrect) spelling of Oddzial Osmy every time the name appears across the whole site, but managed to resist :-) I've also added in Napoleon at War miniatures and tried to be a little more consistent as to whether figures fall in the broad "18mm" or "15mm" categories throughout the listings. |

One manufacturer has now gotten up to 50 votes
.(guess who
.!) and only 4 current manufacturers (AW, MY, Outpost and Battle Line) have yet to be rated at all, so if you do have a view on these figures your opinion will definately count! I've also recently added a page view counter just for this one page, which shows over 100 views from 13 countries in the last week alone. link |
