Question:

Why " The Fenian Raids failed miserably"?

What was the cause of the "The Jaybird-Woodpecker War in Texas"?

Thanks in advance for your guidance.

Wasn't there a war over pig grazing land on a small island in the 1840's or 50's involving America and Canada I think Pickett was involved

The Fenian Raids failed because their second in command was a British agent, and because they chose to attack on the Queen's Birthday, the one day of the year where every Canadian militia unit was gathered in arms to parade, etc.

In short, they failed because they were Fenians.
