Is it OK to use tap water or distilled water to thin them out? Thanks |

I've never had a problem with it. |

I usually use distilled water for everything, simply because where I am has herd water

After about 30 years of painting 15mm figures with Floquil oil-based paints, I switched over to Vallejo water-based paints when I began painting my 25mm/28mm Pirates. I only used tap water with the Vallejo. You can see the results at warin15mm.com/Pirates.html |

Are you thinning it for use in an airbrush? Vallejo makes a thinner for that purpose. I've used that with good results. |

Not going to use for an airbrush. Just want to thin for painting. |

I use tap water and I live in an area with very hard water, it doesn't seem to matter though. |

Tap water with a small drop of liquid dish soap in the cup – breaks the surface tension. |

Tap water, and if I'm thinning it a lot some of their thinner (i.e. medium). |

I use a 50/50 mix of matte medium and distilled water to thin them, or acrylic thinner, when I think about it, but regular tap water when I'm just working on getting things DONE! |
