I'm not sure whether I'm allowed to post this or not because it's a bit of self promotion really. I'm hoping that my relatively good standing (I think!) will stand me in good stead.

Anyway, my forum is running a Warhammer (incl. LOTR and even that ghastly 40k game) painting contest.

For anybody interested :-

"We're accepting entries (pre-painted pics of your minis or terrain & scenery projects) until 24th Feb 2013.

We've decided to also accept undercoated and VERY early Work in Progress minis too.

Why would your forum want to invite this kind of legal scrutiny? At the very least, you will get a cease and desist letter. You may also have to find a new host for your forum when your provider buckles and removes your content from their servers for IP infringement. Stay away from even mentioning the name of the manufacturer, any product names, any background "fluff" details, or any pictures or likenesses of their products.

Cease and desist what exactly? From what I saw it was a fan site where GW models are painted and shown off.

Here is my entry. It is very early WIP but I promise it will be amazing when finished.
