Finally got an AAR done for our game played a couple of weeks ago. A fairly big set piece attack on the Axis defences at Tebaga Gap, focussing on NZ's 24th battalion's part in the battle.

Yours is one of the very few blogs I enjoy reading/seeing. Thanks for posting. Have not played these rules for the desert but seem to work well. Italians lack anti-armor punch in this one -was the minefield to their front? Nasty fighting indeed.

Thanks, Brucka,
Yes, the minefield was to the front of the Italians and fortunately it was enough to scare off the Allied armour.

Brilliant stuff, Bill.

Bill S – very inspiring stuff. I am a new convert to BFWW2 and will be using it for Normandy in 10mm. However, I also have fairly extensive 15mm forces for North Africa and this looks like an excellent scenario to combine the two, particularly as it involves the magnificent NZ infantry.

One question if I may concerning the terrain. Is it just a sheet dyed with appropriate colours or is there more to it than that?

Great game and inspiring table. I am also resident in Ontario, are you in the GTA?

Bill Slavin08 Feb 2013 7:32 a.m. PST

Some Chicken: It's a piece of fabric with a light spray of that textured faux stone spray paint.

Monophagos: We're gaming in the Peterborough area, east of the GTA.
