This is just the beginning. All the services are bracing for the impact of sequestration (or se-castration) with the deadline for a new budget approaching. And the GOP and Democrats are not even close to a compromise. Even if they pass another stopgap measure like they've done the last couple of years, there's going to be a lot of 'belt tightening' in weapons acquisition, testing and development, and operational spending. |

The so called peace dividend. Although I can see the cut backs in many areas of the military the Cyber command is set to expand (Ft. Meade Md.) by three to four fold. VR James Mattes |

Perhaps we can ask the Iranians to deploy their "stealth carrier", and several squadrons of their new "stealth fighters" to assist us in keeping an eye on things in the region. No doubt, the Iranian "stealth carrier(s)" will remain undetected, but will help to ensure safe navigation through the local waters. |

"The so called peace dividend." That was in the 1990s. This is down to impending bankruptcy and sequestration. |

Oh not to fret – wars between the Great Powers is a thing of the last century. No, really this time. |

No problem, according to the president, every body loves us now. Cut guns at home and abroad, and peace reigns. |
