So anyone doing any 20mm games at Cold Wars? If so, what rules?

jrbatso06 Feb 2013 1:16 p.m. PST

You can download the PEL and check for yourself. It's a searchable document.

Yep, just asking the group here. Not all games are on the PEL, as you know.

jrbatso06 Feb 2013 1:49 p.m. PST

Very true.

If you are looking to buy painted 20mm buildings, I'm in the flea market Saturday AM.

historygamer06 Feb 2013 2:00 p.m. PST

Yes, I will be looking. What make are they?

Pizzagrenadier06 Feb 2013 2:26 p.m. PST

Why only 20mm? While not 20mm, I'm running a WWII game. Ss vs partisans in the Pripet marshes. Rules will be Disposable Heroes Point Blank. It's an individual skirmish system.

historygamer06 Feb 2013 4:40 p.m. PST

Cause I posted it on the 20mm group?

Pizzagrenadier06 Feb 2013 6:44 p.m. PST

Oh. Carry on then.

They are mostly painted Hovels. Almost all are runins types that have seen battle damage. For example:

and

I have many of their buildings.

historygamer07 Feb 2013 7:52 a.m. PST

I have that first one and that was the one I posted the question on whether people create a ground floor for such a structure.

Very nice. Shoot me a price if you can. I don't do Eastern front but a buddy does and I'll send him your link for those buildings.

You can contact me at britmarine at hotmail dot com.

When are you selling those? I am in the Saturday morning shift of fleamarketers.

Historygamer,
PM & email sent…

I'm with HistoryGamer. The first thing I look for in a game is whether its 20mm.

The look of a good minature wargame is half the charm and 20mm games always look fantastic.

It also helps that the size allows some weapon detail without going micro-skirmish but also allows mutiple vehicles and some scope to manuver.

At least in the PEL, there aren't many 20mm WWII games listed. :-(

historygamer13 Feb 2013 2:32 p.m. PST

Interesting. I did a search on the PEL and only say one game listed as 1/72, not 20mm. 15mm so dominates this period now, with some 28mm games as well.
