we are aiming at as much of these as we can by Salute with the stragglers to follow after that. Once the range settles down (and I catch my breath!) we will add limbers, etc.

Hope that helps

Mike

YES! Thanks for giving us this info! Good to see a manufacturer so responsive.

Rudysnelson06 Feb 2013 7:54 a.m. PST

Super Impressive!

That is a really sweet list. I'm particularly looking forward to the civilian packs – those will be useful across a number of skirmish projects I have in mind for 18th and 19th century India.

Oh Bugger06 Feb 2013 8:13 a.m. PST

Oh British Rifles and Sikh Ghurkas too. I look forward to seeing them all.

This is a very quickly painted command stand for the British as a test:

These will be up on scaleCreep.com by the end of the week for pre-order for those of you in the USA…

Shame I'm already invested in 25mm's. These would be lovely.

This my friends, is the release that will break my "pledge".

the trojan bunny06 Feb 2013 11:36 p.m. PST

Very exciting news. And the inclusion of the Afghans is especially nice. I have been wanting to do the First Afghan War ever since reading the first Flashman as a teenager…

IUsedToBeSomeone07 Feb 2013 3:21 a.m. PST

@KK We will eventually release bell-top shako troops – we are doing Native Infantry in uncovered shako which covers some of them.

@TTB Have you picked up the new William Dalrymple book "Return of a King" yet? I have just got it on the Kindle to read – looks fascinating…

Buckeye AKA Darryl07 Feb 2013 9:34 a.m. PST

G Dog – Got any Sikh War materials you can send me regarding units strengths and orders of battle? I might try this period in 15mm.

With the Flags from TVAG this should be an incredibly colorful collection to place on the table. Can't wait!

DinOfBattle207 Feb 2013 2:29 p.m. PST

How many figures per pack?
How many variations per pack?

Eric

sjwalker3807 Feb 2013 2:33 p.m. PST

I'll be ordering my first batch once I've sorted out some suitable rules and figure scale (thinking about a F&F variant) and a suitable OOB from TVAG to base an army on!

IUsedToBeSomeone07 Feb 2013 3:59 p.m. PST

Eric

Mentioned in the news story linked to, but:

10 infantry, 5 cavalry
5 infantry / 3 cavalry command

There are 3 variants in the British and HEIC and Sikh Regulars packs and 5 variants in the Sikh irregulars packs of infantry, Akali, Afghans, etc

There are 4 variants of standard infantry command, 5 variants of irregular infantry command.

For the cavalry there are 3 command figures and two trooper variants for regulars and 4 variants for irregulars.

artillery crew are 8 to the pack with 4 variants.

Other packs such as Civilians are 8 unique sculpts.

Hope that helps

Mike

Oh, and I made the production moulds for the first 5 packs today. Two more to be done tomorrow…

Mike

Oh Bugger07 Feb 2013 5:26 p.m. PST

Well done on the variants.

DinOfBattle208 Feb 2013 7:11 a.m. PST

@Mike,

Thanks Mike that helps tremendously. Can't wait to see these in the flesh. Glad to see all the variations!

I like the number of figures in each pack too.

For the command pack, is that 2 flagmen, 2 drummers, and one officer?

IUsedToBeSomeone08 Feb 2013 7:59 a.m. PST

Hi

It is 2 flags 1 drummer 1 officer 1 sergeant for British / HEIC

1 Flag, 2 Drummers, 1 officer, 1 sergeant for Sikhs

Mike

IUsedToBeSomeone08 Feb 2013 8:00 a.m. PST

Oh,

And I will be doing army packs as well with a number of units suitable for rules such as John Company, Black Powder, etc.

I am thinking 12 figures for cavalry, not yet sure about Infantry units size.

I see that Lancashire Games are also promising new 15mm ranges for both Indian Mutiny and Nineteenth Century India later this year, for even more variety.

Oh Bugger08 Feb 2013 2:11 p.m. PST

I like Lancashire Games, I have their Crimean stuff and love it- but they are big. I doubt they will mix.

Buckeye AKA Darryl05 Jan 2020 6:48 a.m. PST

'Tis a shame that Gladiator took over this range, jacked up the prices while reducing the number of figures per pack. I would have liked to do this at a much more affordable price. However, 'tis a blessing that Gladiator kept the range alive.
