My thoughts exactly…..

The single stage, two-hose regulators depicted here became pretty much extinct by the late 1960's/early 70's, yet the weapons seem far too current to match the scuba tech.

Mind, these look like great sculpts, very cleanly and nicely done, certainly proof of skill here. But a little homework is always in order.

If it's not too late, could these sculpts be given weapons more in keeping with what was available before, say, 1970?

Then, by sculpting the two stage, single-hose regulators in use after that, these same weapons could be put back. Then you'd have TWO lines for two differnt eras, and not have to make any more sculpts than already made.

Okay, so I'm a hairsplitter. And I'm bald enough to prove it.

A knife, a speargun and an FN FAL are post 1970?

I like them.

Great attention to detail on the wetsuit fronts too. Well done.

Fatman!

Of course the knife is generic, and cool either way. That spear gun just doesn't look at all like those of the earlier period, and while I confess I don't think I'd recognize a French weapon post 1940 if it introduced itself and tried to sell me a risque postcard, I am unaware that such weapons were ever designed for "SEAL" type use as early as 1970.

I've been wrong before, but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be using the old regulators with the very latest submersible firearms.

Wouldn't mind learning more, though.

Julie Adams and the Creature from the Black Lagoon would make nice additions to this line.

Why do people have to over think this stuff ? Would be great for Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. Can we get Captain Crain and Admrial Nelson ,Sharky, Ski and the rest of the group ?

capncarp16 Feb 2013 5:12 p.m. PST

Frank, for a VttBotSea line you'd need a Giant-Rubber-monster-of-the-Week line to go with it.

So their are no sea monster figs out their ? ….. or as my 15 year old son would say Rubber Ha Ha Ha you said Rubber !

Kev has taken some wonderful photos to match his PJs. Here's a few and more in the album link below. It's giving me ideas for a South Seas Islands game…
