I'm looking for cabins, blockhouses, and such for this period. I would prefer availability in the US? I loved the stuff in the WI 302 on Decorating the Wilderness aticle. Great article but no references on manufactures. I know about the longhouses from Conquest Miniatures.
"Muskets and Tomahawks" has brought our game club back to the period, but one of new members wrote a splendid set of rules that captures the flavor of the conflict and has proven to be great fun!

Try 4 Ground. Laser cut, already painted to a high standard, relatively inexpensive, and quick service.

Thanks, I just found them at Brigade Games.

Sarissa Precision makes a number of North American Homesteads that are appropriate. They are in the UK but their shipping is pretty reasonable. I have highly recommend them.

Unfortunately neither of the two US manufacturers make anything appropriate.

I second Achesoncreations. I have their 28mm log house w/chimney for my FIW. They also have the best looking Blockhouse out there. They are in Rochester, NY.

I would definitely go with 4 Ground and Acheson. Both are excellent and should meet your criteria.

Old Glory has block houses, forts, cabins, etc.

Also, check out the Russian buildings, which will also work for the FIW period.

Hudson and Allen has some FIW buildings, including a log cabin with removable roof and some interior detail. They are nice and not very expensive.

I would second the Old Glory Blockhouse which is a nice piece with lots of room for miniatures inside (and IIRC it came with a couple of pieces of artillery).

How long are Hudson and Allen longhouses? They will most likely be my choice, as well as the huts.
I also favor the blockhouse and cabin in the Architects of War 's North American terrain section. Bought together, free shipping, no tax!
Thanks for all the suggestions!
