I am getting ready to paint some lend lease Valentines, Matilda's, Churchill's, and M3's. I know that British tanks of that time were a brownish color? Can someone give me some more specific info? What would be the Vallejo equivalent? Also, what would be the U.S. lend lease color for M3's? Thanks |

I'm not sure about the British tanks but the American stuff would be in good old olive drab. Not sure about Vallejo equivalent as I don't use them. |

I am pretty certain the Soviets weren't fussy enough to repaint LL |

You could paint them in the usual Vallejo Russian Green. If you want the original colours US tanks would be Vallejo Brown Violet, British Vallejo Russian Uniform or Khaki. |

Paul, My understanding is that most of the British tanks were painted in 'Service Colour.' I use Vallejo 826 for this. Mark |
