Hi I'm looking into possibility of 1/144 interwar possibilities, using wings of war, basing the action in the pacific. What are the options for P-26's, Shrike's, wilderbeast's for the Brits, and fighets and bombers for the Japanes. Looking at using F-Toy's Claudes. All suggestions appreciated, cheers guys |

I suggest you try Shapeways. They have many of the inter-war a/c. They currently have 500 1/144th a/c on their site. link Unfortunately you will probably have to look through all of them to find what you want. |

I just ordered a 1/144 A-8 Shrike and a Curtiss Hawk 3 for my late 1930's China Air Force from Shapeways. Will let you know how they look. |

Hi Also have a look at Fairy Kikaku from HobbyLink Japan. link Has stuff like P-26A, Curtiss Shrike and Curtiss-Wright Demon CW-21B (I think only the Curtiss-Wright Demon CW-21B is in stock at the moment but they do come into stock as well) Cheers GrumpyOldMan

Many thanks everyone, looks like there are enough 1/144 options out there to make it possible, especially the 1/144 P-26. Fairy Kikaku's models are outstanding and have never heard of them before, so thanks again for the heads up on these. I've located some sources of decals, Piranha Graphics, ebay etc, but does anybody know of sources of decals that would be suitable for interwar US, Japanese aircraft? Cheers |

Many thanks Hurrahbro, Shapeways and Hobbylink Japan both seem to have a wide range of options or at least possible stand ins at 1/144 to make this viable. Amazed at how many kits there are in Japan in 1/144, thankfully a lot of them are early Japanese fighters. General theme I'm aiming for is Porco Rosso over the Pacific. |

Fabulous film Boford Sora did the P-12 in a set, I am not sure/confident of the scale and it was never stated. Picture of the set link Furuta Chocco eggs (Japan's equivalent of Kinda surprise, only quality toy, inedible chocolate) has some biplanes in their range, scale is all over the place, however they have the Grumman F3F-2, Curtiss BF2C Goshawk (seems to be 2 versions, one with choice of landing gear, one with wheels up moulded) and the Curtiss P-6 Hawk. all seem about 1:130 Pictures of their offerings link I've been using them for a local 1930s banana republic games/ and some kit bashes based on them for AVBCW |

Reviresco has 9 Spanish Civil War types in 1/144th scale including such rare birds as the HS 123 and the ND-52. See them at: link |

I'm wondering if with a little extra green stuff to the rear of the headrest the hs 123 could'nt pass as a P-12, ok it has wheel fairings but that just adds to the look. Nice one Reviresco, will be in touch |
