Shock trooper, commander, orange jumpsuit. The 3D modeled shapeway printed Prominence Sihithis Aushwua gets a quick rundown here: aryiki.com/soluna/blog.aspx as the first blog entry for the in-development Sol'una tactical RPG. The paint job was very fast to get a feel of how the frosted detail (finest shapeways can do) would come out. The model and its siblings are in a round of getting their detail to stand out more so they are even more fun to paint and can be dry brushed and highlighted correctly. Scale for the system will be 32mm eye level (Sihithis Mk1 was scaled short at 31mm tall, but one of the goodies of 3D is that rescaling is a simple job). After the other three models of the first batch are blogged a Sol'una AAR with focus on game mechanics will put them through their paces. |
