The title just about says it all, my 28mm torpedo cruiser is nearing completion and I need to decide on a nationality for the paint scheme. Input welcome! link |

Do not know about Nationality , but that bad boy cries for a dazzle scheme |

Again, fabulous and you are possessed considering how fast your are turning this around. I like the method you are using for rivets and is much easier than the cutting plastic rod method. What weight/stock of paper are you using? She looks like a fine ship or boat if she does not carry boats and will be a force on the waters. |

whitemanticore, I used to use cheap 3x5 cards but I found a supply of index card 8x11 paper at a OfficeMax near my house. It works as well as the 3x5 stuff and the larger sheets make covering complex surfaces a but easier as there are fewer joints. I am planning on adding a launch and a couple of masts. |

Cool Anton, so in other words you are most likely using 80 to 90 pound card stock. As someone who also scratch builds your photos and information are a gold mine. And hey when you get a compliment from Architects of War you have arrived. |

I had an hour free before going to the gym so I finished the railings and added masts and then updated the blog with more photos. whitemanticore, You are correct sir!, 90lb (I just checked the package) I would like to thank everyone for their kind words and helpful suggestions, it helps me get through "builders block". There is little worse than having time free for building and having your mind freeze up rendering your hands idle! |

Thanks for sharing. Your work is beyond my poor abilities at praise. |

Dazzle camouflage has my vote. It's not intended to hide the ship, it's intended to confuse any observers about which way the ship is headed and how fast it's moving. Those are the two critical variables for getting torpedoes to hit, and are only slightly less critical for accurate gunfire. That said, you could always go to the Great White Fleet, the US spent a lot of the late 1800s annoying the European powers. |

I was going to suggest Great White Fleet also. It looks very colonial, and it's sure to be different from whoever your good guys are. One of the South American navies might also be a good source of opposition, although I can't help with colors there. |

I did a test paint job and updated the post with the photos
..man I really need to learn how to post photos to this forum. Not sure that I am happy with the look, but I am trying to stay with a Late Victorian (1880-1890s) look, the problem being that nearly everyone did the black hull/buff upperworks thing |
