Hi all, There's a new online Battle Group builder for Battle Group Kursk available at gregfarrell.org/builder/bgb.html It'll let you build a battle group for any of the four forces described in Battle Group Kursk. It tracks points cost, battle rating and number of officers for you. Enforces unique and support choice limits and can produce a nice printable roster of your final list for you. It also allows saving and loading of your battle groups. You'll need a reasonably modern web-browser to use it. Any of the free ones from the last couple of years will do fine. I also intend to extend it to support the Overlord forces when that book is released. Thanks to Warwick for agreeing to let me do this. |

Thanks for the info, Dark Knights And Bloody Dawns. I'll see if I can get my hands on an IE9 machine and try and figure out what the issue is. I decided to target very modern browsers so that it could be as much like a desktop application as possible. Internet Explorer can be a bit special :( In the mean-time it should work fine with a free download of Firefox, Chrome or Opera if you want to be able to use it. |

The error I get on IE9 is: Message: Expected identifier, string or number Line: 108 Char: 17 Code: 0 URI: link At a guess it's the superfluous comma at the end line 107 that's causing the problem. |

Thanks for sharing it. Great work. |

Thanks a lot, SpaceCudet. From a quick google it sounds like you're very likely correct – some version of IE don't like extraneous commas. I like to leave those there as it makes copying/pasting bits of unit data between diferent units easier. I'll trawl through and remove them but it'll likely miss some until I get my hands on an IE browser to double check. |

That should work now in IE9. It parses in IE8 and older but there's no way IE8 will run many of the dynamic html parts, so I'm displaying a warning message to users of IE8 or older just to let them know. It links to the Google Chrome browser. I would link to IE9 or 10 but many older windows platforms can't get anything newer than IE8, so it's Chrome, Firefox, Opera or really old IE. |

Greg just testing it in i.e 9 and am seeing a few issues with the JS if I chose a Pz Grenadier platoon and click on the Platoon Components button nothing happens on page did a debug and picked up this error SCRIPT5007: Unable to get value of the property 'name': object is null or undefined bgb.js, line 5720 character 21 checked the other German infantry platoons and the armoured Pioneer behaved the same but Armoured Pz grenadier platoon did display the popup components section so that works ok, which is odd line 5720 generates a select list so I think the values of that select might be the first place to look oh there are also a few format issues with the borders around troop quality but that's not too much of a problem good luck getting this sorted, it'll be a great tool once the bugs have been ironed out Mike |

Thanks Mike. I hate IE :) It works perfectly in Chrome, Firefox and Safari – I don't have any windows machines to test the nightmare that is IE with. I'll have to get one. These bug reports are extremely useful by the way. |

Thanks Mike. I got remote access to a windows machine with IE 9 :) I think I've got all the bugs that stop it running in IE sorted now – again more extraneous commas that every other browser is happy with and I prefer for style reasons. Serves me right for just testing on all the other browsers. The sane ones! There's still a minor visual problem with the box around the select options not growing to fit them – again works fine in all the other browsers and I just couldn't be bothered to struggle with IE more tonight! Thanks a lot for the bug reports, without them I'd not even know it wasn't working for some people. |

Minor graphical Internet Explorer bug fixed. The good thing about IE browser bugs is that they're famous so you can find out what's causing them via google ;) I think it should now work fully in Internet Explorer 9+. It mostly works in IE8 but it fails to correctly hide a platoon's sub-component page after displaying it. So it's usable for building and saving lists but the print view is little good. I doubt I'll try to resolve that as every version of windows since Vista can get IE 9 and if you have an earlier version then Chrome, Firefox or Opera are freely available. Any other bug reports gratefully received :) I really don't want to get into trying to support older versions of the worlds quirkiest browser ;) |

hi Greg really impressed with this, I've just noticed if you hit the print button you can return to the main view by clicking anywhere on the print output that's a nice feature |
