has anyone else udergone a shift of server/host from forummer to yuku. As lead admin for GWP I was advised yonks ago that it was moving from the one to the other. It happened with a bang about a week ago. The forum seems to be working on Yuku with all threads transferred but I've discovered, almost by accident, that the forummer version is still operating. however posts made since the "big bang2 on Yuku stay on Yuku and those on forummer stay on forummer. Clearly it's bad for the future of any forum if it had two formats. Any ideas? Any guidance? |

Hi Jeremy, haven't the foggiest on how to cope with this, but just confirming that I'm finding exactly the same things with GWP.Though the old formuer version is very slow or sometimes won't load. Best of luck! |

however posts made since the "big bang2 on Yuku stay on Yuku and those on forummer stay on forummer. This isn't to surprising. At the point of switch the forumer database will have been copied to Yuku. After that posts made on one site will have no connection with the old site. Is this a switch you (i.e. GWP) have initiated, or that the hosting people have done? Either way you want to get the old one (forumer) switched off (and preferably get its URL redirected to the new site. |

The hosting people have done it. |

I'd suggest getting in touch with them. Let them know the new site is up and running. Ask for the old one to be switch off (as long as you are sure everything has transferred) Ask for the old URL to point to the new one. |
