I'm working on expanding my ironclads collection, and would like to get/make some terrain. Right now I just make all the banks "fields." Kinda boring. For those of you using the Navwar 1/1200 models, do you use in-scale terrain? Do you go bigger? Smaller? Besides Navwar, where else can you pick up suitable buildings, wharves and such? |

Langton make 1/1200th maritime scenery but mostly for 18/19 C period. Also it is quite a 'generous' version of the scale and the buildings work quite well with 2mm & 3mm figures. You might also look at the new stuff from Brigade Models – the range is limited at the moment but they promise more soon. These are themed to late 19C Europe and may not fit 1860's US. |

I found these people: link Lots and lots of scales, including 1:1200 which I got. Great service, and very reasonable shipping too. I have still to paint them and intend to mix and match with the Langton and Brigade kit. Cheers, Peter |
