According to Forbes and I guess IBM? Who knows, but the ranges are expanding around here. link I know that the various fashionistas on this website will have a lot to say about that aspect of it, but how will it affect wargaming? Will we see more steampunk stuff? Will there be a one-off game from GW doing Warhammer in the Victorian era? |

Aside from the steampunk stuff, I do think that for men at least, the Victorian and Edwardian eras had just a bit more elegance and style than the modern one. This man looks like a proper, dapper gentleman:
Whereas this is just a guy in a suit:
Not that honestly I want to wear either

Will there be a one-off game from GW doing Warhammer in the Victorian era? You haven't played Skaven, have you? Pretty much all the Clan Skryre warmachines are steampunk. Granted, the rats themselves aren't in top hats and corsets, so there's room to convert. (The big steam-punk-y game around here right now is Malifaux.) |

It taken them something like 10 years to notice, must have been a slow week in the news room. |

It taken them something like 10 years to notice, must have been a slow week in the news room. What's the quote? "News is something somebody wants to suppress. The rest is just advertising." |

My mate made steampunk garb for himself & wife

Slow week indeed; after all how long has this been under discussion: link They fear Steampunk becoming a fashion "thing", which they believe ruined Goth and Punk. |

That is what happens with fashion or music. It becomes popular with a small group, aspect of it are taken over and are made mainstream and then the people who originally liked it can't any more because it is too mainstream. |

If its now taking over we may at least be spared the sight of people walking round with their trousers round their ankles. |

Probably not, but you might see gears on their boxer shorts. |

Steampunk? Really? I should buy stock in a googles company |

They fear Steampunk becoming a fashion "thing", which they believe ruined Goth and Punk. That's why the fashionistas are paying attention to it. They want to kill it. |

My brother-in-law's girlfriend is into Steampunk. Frankly, until we were at her birthday party this past September, I thought the whole movement was fizzling out. She informed me that it was bigger than ever. Guess that explains why people keep asking whether or not Gutshot will be adding any Steampunk elements. (The answer to that, BTW, is no.) |

how will it affect wargaming? Affect it? Another context for some games, for those who like this context. Some Steampunk game tables in conventions, near the historical tables, fantasy tables, sci-fi tables, Pulp tables etc. Nothing to worry about. |

The guy looks more like the end of the Georgian period (1692- 1837)to me.Maybe the start of Vics reign but nowhere near Edwardian. |
