After taking a rest from painting over christmas I've managed my first unit of the new year. Some Isle-men for my Somerled project.

Excellent stuff, and some unit, another tough looking crew.

Nice work, lots of character on each base. It was probably in there somewhere, so sorry if I missed it, but what rules is your project going to use?

Allen@ Hoping to use Hail Caeser. I decided I liked the modeling opportunities that multiple basing provides. I'm going to tweek the Hail Caeser rules slightly so that instead of the unit sizes given in the rule book 2 bases of my multiple bases will be a small unit, 4 bases a regular unit and 6 bases a large unit.

I have played a couple of Hail Caesar games with normans and saxons (with a few viking allies thrown in since we needed the figures) and I liked how it played quite a bit. Please keep us posted as you progress.
