I just wondered if there is anyone using 28mm on natably small tables and if so, what rules are being used. I just picked up operation Squad and that looks like a WWII infantry firefight is easily do-able in a small space, as indeed does Dux Bellorum. |

force on force, ambush alley, Dux Britt, dux hello, dba and others can all be played on a small table. |

The smallest area I have played in using 28mm figures is 60cm x 60cm Figures had melee weapons only for skirmish games. Most of my games are skirmish games played in a 120cm x 120cm area, but this is only because of a lack of space. I play a modified (to skirmish level) Bolt Action in this area with no problem at all. |

.45 Adventures, Gloire, etc from Rattletrap games play very well in two feet square. Two Hour Wargames rules can play in hat space with he right scenario. The Song of series from Ganesha games play well in 28mm on small tables. I play with my 40mm on a 32 inch square table routinely. I play WWI trench raids in 28mm on a table that is about two by four feet. The trick to making small tables work well is dense terrain and cover, especially with ranged weapons in play.. |

I played Friday Night Fights (Two Hour Wargames) in a 3x3 inch space :) |

Gladiators. A square foot'll do you fine. You can liven things up with noxii, lions, the occasional gregatim or suppositicus fight, and the non-combat elements – such as managing your familia and ludus, and betting on the games – add a lot to the gameplay without needing tablespace. |

I play Friday Night Fights and Red Sand Blue Sky, in 1 foot or less, as cited above. You can also play a lot of gangster action and Pulp in 2 foot square or less. |

Play with urban terrain or hedgerows or other close terrain and the table can be quite small. |

I play my Zombie Clue (Cludo) game on the original board, about 24in sq. Also Gladiators like Norman D said. |

Yes perfectly ok to do 28mm in a 2ft square as long as you use lots of terrain
. Pile it in

I ask because I have been collecting in 6mm and 10mm specifically for dining table type games but I love the aesthestics of the larger figure. |

I happily use 28mm figures on a 4ft by 2.5ft table. |

3' x 3' is what I've been using for 28mm skirmish games. |

2' x 2' for some small 7TV games |

I am very unhappy when I have less than 2 metres x 4 metres. :-) But it's for skirmish and role-playing minded wargame. |
