You have to love the one guy who held down the fort to close out the game. The scene of thinking you scared them off only to realise the army showed up behind you springs all too readily to mind! |

BTW, the Anglo Danes are actually (for the most part) my Saxons / Franks that I usually use when playing TFL's Dux Britanniarum. |

Nice report; nice battle. Good on ya! Hayley Trailapesdóttir! Umm, scratching my head though
I was thumbing through my copy of The Anglo-Saxon Chronicle, trying to find a reference to a Byzantine raid on Engle-land??? |

Check out '500 AD' by Simon Young. Procopius records Justinian sent gifts to British Kings. If they had plans to reconquer Western Europe a cunning ploy could be to reconquer a corner of Britain & use it as a jumping-off point for landings on the continent |

Looks fun. My real issue with Saga is that every time I play it nearly everyone dies. Usually with the warlords Duking it out at the end. |

It is very 'Gamey'. Fun, but not what I'd call an historical simulation. |
