Nice, like the 1914 wargame too, got 10mm Germans & Belgians to paint up this year in time for 2014! Question- where did the giant shell crater come from in 1914?

Broglie19 Jan 2013 5:58 a.m. PST

Thanks for your kind words.

As I explained on the blog the craters come from a previous bombardment by German 210mm Mortars (Die Morser).

I put them there just to break up the open spaces and provide some cover for troops advancing in the open. The town has sustained damage as well although the rubble has mysteriously disappeared as have the inhabitants!

Great looking tower. You made it look easy.

Broglie19 Jan 2013 8:44 a.m. PST

Thanks Grigork.

It was not difficult just awkward. All I need now is a set of rules for attacking artillery towers.

Broglie,
thanks. Look good. Never thought about Crimean in 15mil but more and more like the mid 19th century

Ah. I see. Could represent a feature like a quarry too?

Broglie19 Jan 2013 12:00 p.m. PST

Thanks Duc de Limburg – you have been kind enough to comment favourably before on my efforts.

Cooper Steve – There are quite a lot of craters so they would be rather small, rather shallow and rather numerous quarries. Maybe in 2mm scale?
