Famous French journalist and contributor/author to Combat and survival , raids , concord publications , d'assault etc has been killed in Syria .

One of the few to not care about PC; a bit excessive and gung ho at times (as in shoot them all etc.); a reporter, of the few to know what he was talking about, who could recognise warriors and hardware.
My guess, it was the way he wanted to go. At least there likely was no suffering. A few years later would have been better.
Reading his mag. complemented well mainstream and internet news.
Yes he will be missed; one of another age.

Former tank commander and recce guy! Cool. The man was fairly old too; I don't think the article gives his age, but if he joined the military in 1957, say at 18, that would make him over 70!
