Evening all! Luckily I had a day off today, so I got straight to painting the Abrams from Khurasan!

Hmm, nice paint job. Wondering how easy it would be to backdate to an -A1
must check my references

The simplest M1A1 conversion is to cut off the commander's independent sight (the cylindrical object on the top left of the turret), and cover that area with a similar diameter disc. Probably there are other smaller differences, but visually that's the most obvious one. |

I am so jealous. (Though
note to self: when painting 15mm vehicles, remember to base them a bit, as the figures' bases distort them more at this scale.) |

Lovely job – I've cracked and ordered a platoon of 4 meself just to be going on with
. |

Thanks guys, @Sparker – You won't be disappointed! @Meiczyslaw – I've got a base drying, 15mm models can take bases quite nicely. Ben. |

Very nice! I need one of those. Definitely agree on the bases
it just helps keep everyone in scale:) |

Even with a base that Abrams is to small against 15mm infantry. Nice kit but too small |

It scales out to 1/100, Lex. But a 15mm figure has ~2mm of base underfoot and that means at least 8" of extra height in the figure compared to the unbased tank. |
