Does anyone make ariborne swarms of insects for RPGs etc? Plenty of of horde/swarm type ground inescts but I can't find any airborne "cloud" effects…

You could always make your own out of died cotton or batting on a flight stand.

Litko make some nifty bits, there are some smokey irregular shaped markers that are really useful. I've used them for oil slicks, sunk ships, smoke. either put the figure on them, or use the old double sided sticky tape.

Like Chuck stated just take a flying stand and either cotton wool or steel wool and paint it black. There is your swarm.

I made a couple of insect swarms using micro-fine glitter stuck to a bit of steel wool and spray painted black. Turned out OK and was quick and cheap.

I was working on a swamp scenario for a convention game and there were going to be swarms. (Didn't get enough players so it didn't proceed)

I was planning on printing little dots on transparancy and mounting on a flight base.
