Got my notification link that the parcel was mailed the day before yesterday. Yesterday at 3pm it shows as "at orlando"… Log on today after mailman shrugs and says "it's not in the truck dude" and see that suddenly my expected delivery is FRIDAY? That's 2 days from TODAY, or 4 days after it touched down in the delivery city…

Is this a FEDEX thing? or a USPS thing?

I live in Atlanta, across the city from CMoN, and it took Zombicide morr than a week to arrive due to what my wife and I refer to as "Stupidpost". Stupidpost seems to combine the worst aspects of Fedex and rhe USPS into a truely abysmal mess. Not complaining about CMoN, just tired of how long it takes for delivery in the same city.

yeah, i gotta agree, no blame for CMoN… they have been VERY stand up, very communicative, and totally upfront about any delays and "hiccups" so far.

I'm just VERY unhappy with this "smart post" thing

And we wonder why the post office is losing money. I live on the southside of ATL and still haven't heard a word.

Sedition Wars arrived today for me, just north of Albany.

I just tracked my package and it says that it arrived at my Post Office (Tolono, Central Illinois) today. Hopefully it will be in my box when I stop by tonight.

I was tracking a recent purchase and found the path interesting:

01/12. Accepted at USPS. Janesville, WI
01/13. Processed at USPS. Oak Creek, WI
01/13. Departed USPS. Oak Creek, WI
01/14. Processed at USPS. Albany, NY
01/14. Departed USPS. Albany, NY
01/15. Processed USPS. Springfield, MA
01/16. Departed USPS. Springfield, MA
01/16. Arrived at Post Office. Manchester, MA
01/16. Delivered

FedEx picks up the package and it moves through the FedEx Ground network after being processed at a Smartpost facility. It is shipped in large bags to a local station that deliveres to the post office. The post office has final point of delivery.
It is a cheaper way of shipping, and not time/day sensitive.

During the Christmas peak I had items that came in early but sat at the post office until the promised delivery date. Kinda made me a little tweaked that they waited 2 days to put in my box. I have a very rural post office.
That Post Master was replaced a few weeks later.

Yeah, I live in a small town and sometimes the wait for something to be put in a box is unbearable, as it is hard for me to get to the Post Office during the week and only have a two hour window of opportunity Saturday mornings to get a package from over the counter. I did get my Sedition Wars package last night, though it barely fit in one of the larger keyed boxed.
