I decided to get into pirate gaming, and I kicked off my efforts with a scratch-built vessel using the Gary Chalk plans once published in WI. I'm a terrible crafter, but it came out pretty well.

You can read about my efforts here: link

Good job! I've been slowly putting a ship together from the same plans over the last year and your posting has inspired me to finally finish it. I've used metal washers to support my masts, which seem to work quite well. Looking forward to seeing your ship fully finished. Games of War has reasonably priced ship accessories (ships wheels, anchors, cannons and swivel guns)if you are looking for some.

Looks great! I'd been wondering about making one of these ships out of foamcore--I may have to break down and actually do it!

Great job so far, I'm the same I've got the same issue of WI but I've never being tempted! Well untill now! It's strange how one single image or thought can inspire so much, that's how I ended up with my pirate fortress!

Thanks,
