I picked up some metal flag casting from Musket Miniatures recently and I must say they are great. They are cast with a slot to place a wire in and they have enough detail that they look really good when painted up. They are much less fiddly than printing paper flags and are a pretty good value.

The same type flags are also available form Stone Mountain in 15mm. That is engraved metal with a slot for the flagstaff.
