Hello, I am interested in running a WW2 Naval campaign in the Pacific, I have the rules I want to use and I'd like to know if anyone can tell me where I can download some hex maps. I know there are a million board games out there, but I don't want to drop $50 USD and I am hoping to have the campaign operations done electronically while tactical combat happens on the tabletop. I am looking for the Solomons, Cartwheel, Guadalcanal, Leyte or any other appropriate hex map in that region. Thanks in advance. |

I suggest The Solomons Campaign from Old Dominion Game Works odgw.com/home.html or more direct link It's a mapless system. While it's designed for their naval game, General Quarters 3, the game can be used with any naval gaming system I think. Each turn is a month. Each side makes decisions and the interactions set up games. Outside pressure (random events) may force operations on a side. Additional forces might be added or deleted for the operation or just ordered. I don't know of a good review and I'm only now reading it but it seems very interesting. Almost more important is I think it's a campaign system that can be played to completion. So many campaigns bog down in details. |

You might want to get the old Flattop game from AH. It had the map and campaigns for that region and you can just use it as a scenario generator for use with GQ3 rules. |

JJMicromegas, The makers of Seekrieg had a series of charts and oob called CNO series. I looked on their website but they are not available. They also don't have hexes but I just photocopied them on a sheet of hex paper. If you want you can contact me at jthom@dejazzd.com Jim |
