The army level games I'm playing, a town is a single building, and has to have a small base area.

Any nice buildings of this sort in 15mm for central Europe 1620-1720?

You might be better off looking at 10mm or 6mm and doing small dioramas.

That said, what kind of footprint are you looking for?

About 3" square.

I'm hoping to end up with "small 15mm" rather than other scales to start.

How about JR Miniatures. Available from Magister Militum in the UK
A nice variety of buildings – the gatehouse may be a good way to represent a town. Fairly small – although sold as 15mm they match the Timecast 10mm range very well.

Hovels are worth looking at. English/Rural Medieval and Eastern European ranges offer some potential.

Otherwise I'd also commend the JR range via Magister Militum

Total Battle Miniatures have a few offerings within the required footprint:

Thanks all; Total Battle Miniatures are a new one to me, some very nice models.

Hovels, I have some nice Eastern Europe, not sure which of the British ones would also be suitable for continental?

JR miniatures look nice but rather large, do you know the bases sizes of e.g. JR4003, JR4004
