I am an ECW novice. I will be playing with the Pike & Shotte rules by Warlord Games. I really like the Empress Armoured Cavalry miniatures but I already have enough regular cavalry for my forces. I was wondering if more experienced students of the period would render an opinion as to whether the Empress figures could pass as Cuirassiers?

No. Cuirassiers have full or 3/4 armour. I'm sure the Empress folks will have some Cuirassier figures for us sooner or later.

Thanks Steve

do you know when we might expect to see more releases from Empress in this range?

During the ECW, full Cuirassier units were a rarety. Sir William Waller famously fielded a unit in his Parliamentry Southern Army before they met their 'Waterloo' at Roundway Down 1643.
