Shapeways has added some new 1/288-scale models from the Reduced Aircraft Factory to its WWI lineup. They're the Maurice Farman MF.11 and the very similar Savoia Pomilio SP.1. Both are excellent, one-piece models with wonderful detail and lots of struts. They're in a material called frosted ultra detail, so you'll need to handle them carefully. If you like Great War airplanes, these are very nice. |

Any chance of these being produced in 1/144th? |

Great to hear of another WWI in the air sculptor in 1/288 (etc.). Hopefully more of the rarer aircraft will be available, still hoping for a Sikorsky S.16. |

I just got my latest order from Shapeways. It included four WWI monoplanes by der Kampfflieger in 1/300 scale: Sopwith Swallow, Bristol M1C, Bleriot XI Parasol, and Morane L. They're wonderful models in frosted ultra detail (FUD) material, which means they'll require careful handling. You'll find pictures on the Shapeways website. |

Out of curiosity – Is there much interest in 1/288 or 1/300 WWI aircraft models? I've only ever made mine 1/144 or 1/350 for the "In Clouds of Glory" game. link I've converted a few of the WW2 models to 1/288 but not many of them. It's simple enough to do if there are any there you'd like. |
