I was reading some old issues of Wargame Development's The Nugget and noticed that "guest spots" are called either an Onside Report or an Offsides Report. Given that the Offsides Reports don't seem to be necessarily negative, nor Onside Reports only by the game host, can anyone tell me what those terms mean in the context of that magazine? Thanks, Dale |

I suspect onsides is by the author/organizer of the game, offsides is by players. |

Onside and Offside reports are accounts of games or sessions that take place at COW (or in some cases a CALF). Onside reports are written by the session presenter. Offside reports are written by other participants. |

Onsides are indeed by the game organisers. Sometimes there is more than one organiser, so more than one onside
