So I am trying to make some custom dice bags, and have been trying to find solid colored cotton dice bags online but with no luck. So far the best I can come up with are the velour dice bags over at TheWarStore (Where I was referred to this forum by Neal). The basic idear is getting a different colored one for each player and either bleaching (like you see on some tshirts) or putting a transfer on each. Each player's bag would correspond with the Adeptus Astartes Chapter of their first Deathwatch characters. If anyone could offer advice or point me in the right direciton, I would greatly appreciate it. |

If you're going to sew it yourself, bags are made inside out and then flipped when finished. If a friend or you has access to an airbrush, you might be able to get a fabric paint/dye and a stencil and put the logo of the chapter right on it. When spraying into fabric, work at a higher PSI than you normally would. Velour deteriorates from bleach, so you may not want to go that route if you are going to bleach them. |

I will assume basic sewing is do-able. Your interest is in the artwork, then. There are several techniques possible: use iron-on transfers, printed on your PC; paint your artwork onto the fabric using acrylic craft paints (either standard paints, or specialty fabric paints -- both must be ironed, after drying, to seal them into the fabric permanently, allowing them to survive washing); or you could draw/paint the artwork on pieces of white cloth, and either sew, or use fabric glue (such as, "Patch Attach"), to attach them to the bag fabric. If money does not matter, have the designs digitized, and embroidered onto the fabric; silk screening is also an expensive option. Cheers! |

My wife made custom dice bags for me back in the 1980s and 1990s. Instead of a cord drawstring, she used velcor patches. These were very popular and I never had any trouble selling them. I am not sure what the problem is because she never had any making them. |

I bought an embroidered velour dice bag at a convention. It came with only one drawstring, and tended to come open and spill dice all over. So, I put in a second drawstring, which works much better. Grelber |

I don't really know how to sew, and the velour bags are already out for the same reason AgustinSantos listed. Really I am trying to get a lead on where I might be able to purchase the bags I would use to make these bags. |

My wife is a craft sewer and makes bags regularly. threadsquirrel.co.uk She has an embroidery machine too so could add designs to the bags if you can provide a jpeg or similar with what you want. |
