But how did the Mexican soldier fighting for independence feel about Maximilian and Carlota? Here's a song about that.

So,
I'll be buying the new Gringo figs. Awesome,
But I have quite a few of the older Houston's
figs. Have the molds and rights landed with
anyone yet?

One can only hope…

Dear D6 Junkie,

Yes! TVAG now holds the rights and all the molds to the original Maximilian Adventure Line in 25mm.

Their sculptor, Chris Ferree, is now TVAG's de facto Casting Master and is working his way through the hundreds of molds we acquired from Richard Houston in October.

The plan is to start releasing lines as fast as we can get everything organized, and I can start adding the many new pages at the Website.

This is still the largest and most nearly complete line on the subject, though I'm not sure how well they will work alongside Gringo's 40's!

Please keep your eyes here on TMP and elsewhere for news.

Merry Christmas!

^^^My concern would be "matching" anything made today. There has been a lot of scale creep in the intervening decades.

Great news General!
I have Foundry, Old Glory and Houston's
in my army now. All in seperate units but look fine on
the table.
If anyone ever needs I could take some photos.
Hoe does the gringo 40s match with the old foundry?

D6 Junkie!

ME! ME! ME!!!

Before I can offer up pages for all of the many different lines of (mostly) 25mm Colonial/19th Century Armies to sell, I will need useful photos of every figure in each.

I always provide photos of every product at TVAG, and I can hardly not do so for these Houston's figures as well, but I have only unpainted samples to shoot, and the time required is still at a premium.

If you can provide color photos of the bare figures and/or painted examples, I would trade you a few more figures when ready to cast.

If you'd like, please send all the photos you can of single figures (with ID) to TVAG@att.net. If you can provide them at 600 dpi for possible printing, and no smaller than about 800 x 800 pixels, they will require a minimum of prep for setting up their page a TVAG.

Hoping you can help,

TVAG

HALLELEUJAH!!!!!

It LIVES! It LIVES!!!!!

Right. So my hands are shaking as I write this….

When do the lovely little tin men go on for sale…???? I'll certainly give Ged some custom. I OWE him, badly.

But I loves me Houston's Maxy-Million Range Figures. And they're just The Thing for Major Dundee too don't you know.

Bless you for wanting to post pictures of your products.

79thPA!

I appreciate your encouragement.

I'm already in contact with Mike and hope to get all the photos necessary to allow potential buyers to be able to make an informed choice.

While this may take some time, if Mike can do the job (or mostly, at least!), I can build the page for this line much sooner.

Indeed, I will need photos of ALL of the former Houston's Colonial figures, and we don't have even remotely enough hands to cast figures, photograph them, and build new pages, much less paint examples. We are going to have to rely heavily on the kindness of strangers, it seems, and Mike may be the man to set the example.

And epturner, we should be able to offer this line, and possibly even others, starting in January--subject to getting our horde of ducks in a row.

Wish us luck!
