This is a interesting french link about the Old West.
Took my atention the idea of the indian sending his smoke signals for a wargame or diorama.

Actually I'm pretty sure that the Apache didn't use smoke signals, at least if they did it was very rare. I have read about them using mirrors to signal but not smoke. |
