And apparently there's a "cake topper" version (behind baking counter at Walmart) that is something like 1/50: link Seems bigger than the Matchbox version, which apparently makes it way bigger than the Hot Wheels version. Dan |

Hold on. Aside from 1) the big "cake topper" and 2) the Matchbox version I really am interested in, there were actually TWO versions of the Hot Wheels' The Bat:
link Anyway . . . Does anyone know about the MATCHBOX one I'm after? Would the MATCHBOX one work for 15mm? Dan |

I have the Matchbox THE BAT
I picked it up last night from target
it's pretty awesome. I'm going to repaint the cockpit and use it as a single-seater VTOL scout. Here you go:

I saw a normal $1 USD-size Hot Wheels version at a Walgreens the other night. Looks cool, but it was probably about 1/144 scale at the most (more like the size of the GZG Mini Mule in Mr Harold's pictures). It might be useful as conversion fodder for drones; it would certainly be cheap enough. -Chris K. |

The Hotwheels cockpit is large enough to fit someone. Tight fit, but still fit. I posted pics a while ago. |

I have several of the Hotwheels ones and IMHO they are perfect for 15mm scale Sci Fi gaming. They are light weight as they are completly made from plastic and not diecast so are OK based on clear plastic flight stands. |

Panzergruppe, Interesting. But which one of these Hot Wheels do you mean?

Hrm
definitely going to have to go look for the 1/50th version, myself. Gotta admit, that's one freaky 'helicopter'. Too bad it could never really fly (rotors are too small in diameter, and spend too much time shrouded by the body) |
