Hi folks, First off thanks for the replies to the Dark Future figure query that so many responded to! Now here is another poser for the knowing folks out there, Any ideas on these two figures, again purchased late in the eighties (the gladiator maybe early nineties) The gladiator has GL 02 on the underside, the knight/warrior figure is bare, but maybe filed down. heres the pics to help
lots of lovely detail on the figure, the shield reminds me of some iron claw bob olley skeleton guard figures i had. heres the gladiator, the head in his hand is off another figure i'm sure
So can anyone out there identify who they are, where they came from? |

The 2nd figure (gladiator) looks like an OOP Dixons Miniature. The base is exactly the same as my old Dixon Samurai from the 80s. This is an excellent site for Bob Olley sculpts link |

I wonder if the gladiator is an old TTG one – they did a number with seperate heads that fitted on a peg coming up from the body (could get it with their gladiator rules (rudis)) – I think the figure was based on one by another manufacturer (as in copied from and changed slightly in the mists of time) I am only saying this as I had the exact same figure in a collection of old lead miniatures that a friend ID as TTG a couple of years ago! The other figure looks familiar – but I cannot say why? |

The Gladiator is a QT models figure, 'GL02 Cimachaerus' (sic) as are both heads. The axe, no idea. |

Thanks folks, definitely some leads to follow up on the gladiator, bit gutted still no real answers on the the other one. Its a really good figure detail wise from that pre slotta era, just no clue as to where it came from, I bought it secondhand (pretty sure at the Glasgow Barras market) mid to late 1980's, any suggestions welcome!!!
