Here is a link to my brief review and introduction to Rich Hasenauer's new scenario book for RFF. It covers the 1861-62 time frame and is the first in a series of planned supplements for RFF.

If you are not an ACW gamer, you still might want to have a look at this new publication. This is a fantastic book if for no other reason than the excellent eye candy photos of Rich's layouts. There are plenty of ideas which can be adapted to improve your own wargaming tables.

To Rich, my fellow HMGS Legion of Honor member, I extend my sincere congratulations for a job very well done.

Huzzah! Huzzah! Huzzah!

Here's to many more similar efforts in the future!

IMHO It should also transfer over to other games systems like Black Powder . I'll get me a copy in 2013 .

I have the book and am very impressed with the layout and pictures. I am looking forward to trying out some of the scenarios in the near future.

These scenarios can be adapted for just about any regimental-level rules set. For example, I published an article last year or so in my Charge newsletter from a reader who offered some great suggestions on translating scenarios between Johnny Reb 3 and Regimental Fire & Fury.

The quality of the scenarios is excellent. There are a number that aren't your typical "here's the historical oob, here's the map showing where they started, have at it."

For example, in one scenario, Kernstown, IIRC, the scenario starts in the middle of the Union turn with a Union regiment in the midst of a charge and proceeds from there.

The point being a lot of thought went into these scenarios and it shows.

Scott; I would like to know how the Skirmish scenarios are and do the work with B vs B?
I've recentlt Dusted off my Zoaves Mags and F&F and want to get back in
Thanks for the info.

These rules are for deploying and using skirmish lines with regiments, not skirmish gaming such as BAB. The rules are in the same ballpark conceptually as the skirmish line rules in JR3.
